Video collaborations between local artist Anna Raven and Nick Turner of Watercolour Music

Videos

Our friend and neighbour, artist Anna Raven is holding her second solo show in the beautiful setting of Andrew Sinclair’s Resipole Studios in Strontian. The show is called ‘Seeking Stillness’ and features more work from her residencies ‘on the edge’ in various Scottish islands. Like her first exbhition, Nick has created this special video and soundtrack that will play in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. You can find out more about the exhibition and the studio here. The exhibition opens on April 14th.

Anna Raven

Educated at Dartington Hall School and then Bath Academy of Art , Anna Raven continues to be in demand with exhibitions across the UK.

“My painting is about a synthesis of the experience of the land in which we live with the inner landscape of the self. I am committed to finding a visual equivalent for our internal landscape as seen and experienced in our external world. Ten years ago I achieved my ambition of living full time on the West Coast of Scotland and am now immersed in a process of submission. I make a connection with a sense of place that leads me to find a voice to represent what our elemental landscape can tell”.
